Endodontic Treatment
Endodontic treatment, commonly known as root canal therapy, addresses issues within the dental pulp or nerve chamber of a tooth.
The dental nerve consists of tissues located at the core of the tooth, crucial for tooth vitality. There are two main types of dental nerve issues:
Reversible Pulpitis
This condition involves mild inflammation of the dental pulp, which can be treated and restored to normal. Treatment usually includes removing the cause of inflammation, such as through dental fillings for cavities.
Irreversible Pulpitis
This severe condition involves significant damage to the dental nerve, necessitating the removal of the affected nerve to eliminate inflammation and prevent further complications.
